My daughter wanted this picture made into a wall hanging. It is so cute, Ronnie is 2 years old and this is the bike he got from Santa. He was so excited! It has been a long time since I made a photo quilt. The last one I made was several years ago, and it was a lap size quilt. So I had to refresh my memory. When I printed it I used the high resolution print because when I used the normal print the picture really faded out. It turned out much better with the higher setting. I also dipped the picture into a large pan ( my lasagna pan) because I ran water over the first one and it stained the fabric where the water first hit it. So I discoverd that dipping the picture worked much better. I changed the water and kept dipping it until the water was clear. I think it turned out pretty good, I hope she will like it.

Make a Memorable Photo Quilt Using Your Own Computer

After loading your favorite photo or image onto your computer open it on your screen. Now place a single sheet of printable fabric in your inkjet printer. Using the normal print mode print the image, making sure you print on the fabric side of the sheet. Let the ink dry completely before removing it from the printer tray. After it is dry peel the backing from the fabric, take it to the sink and run it under cold water for 30 seconds or so until the water runs clear. Make sure you do not wrinkle or twist the fabric. Now blot the fabric dry with a clean cloth, take it to the ironing board and iron it dry.

Now that your picture ready, trim it if necessary, sew boarders around it, put thin batting between the quilt top and back. Quilt in the boarders and you have a beautiful wall hanging!! If you want a regular size quilt piece together as many pictures as you want. This makes an excellent gift. And you can bet it will be an original.
